Timer types

This guide explains how the three types of timers work.

Evergreen

The Evergreen timer creates a personal countdown for each visitor.
The timer starts when the plugin first records that visitor, according to the selected tracking method.

Example:

  • configured duration: 24 hours;
  • visitor’s first access: Monday at 10:00;
  • personal expiry: Tuesday at 10:00.

When to use Evergreen

Use it for personal offers, evergreen funnels, promotions valid from the first visit, and timers reserved for specific users or visitors.

Specific date

The Specific date timer uses a fixed date and time. It is the same for all visitors.

Example:

  • configured expiry: June 30 at 23:59;
  • all visitors see the time remaining until that date.

When to use Specific date

Use it for events with a real date, registration closing, product launches, or the end of a promotion that is the same for everyone.

Recurring

The Recurring timer repeats according to a schedule.
It can be daily, weekly, limited to certain days, and can have an end date or a number of recurrences.

Example:

  • starts every Monday;
  • lasts 2 hours;
  • ends after 10 recurrences.

When to use Recurring

Use it for daily offers, weekly promotions, recurring sales windows, and timers active only on specific days.
